ECHO’S PROJECTS
ECHO does not intervene directly on the ground. The assistance
it provides is mainly mobilized and implemente
d by its partners.
Some 200 non-governmental organizations, United Nations agencies
and other international bodies are linked up with ECHO through
a framework contract. Having a diverse range of partners is
important for ECHO, since it enables a widespread coverage
of an ever-growing list of needs in different parts of the
world - and in increasingly complex situations.
To explain the nature of the operations funded by Humanitarian
Aid Office of European Community, some of the COSV’s
projects carried out in the last years with the ECHO’s
financing are reproduced in succession.
