Eurosport
The strategy key concepts of this project
are the use of international motorcycling riders and a pan
European television channel.
EUROSPORT represents the top pan European channel and is really
universal as it leads to homogenisation of the European Culture
as far as sport is concerned.
Eurosport is today the most widely available channel in Europe,
reaching over 93 million homes and 250 million viewers in
54 countries.
The channel is broadcast via Astra, one of the main European
satellites; on the basic programming tier of cable networks,
and on nearly all existing digital platforms e.g. in the UK,
Nordic Countries, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, Portugal and
Greece.
The programs are simultaneously broadcasted in the following
18 European languages: German, English, Dutch, French, Spanish,
Swedish, Finnish, Danish, Czech, Russian, Hungarian, Polish,
Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, Norwegian, Turkish and Greek.
Over 96% of Eurosport's viewers can watch their favourite
sports in their native language.
Eurosport is constantly growing and in 2002 its identity will
be reinforced by increasing dedication and focus on “premier”
sporting events.
