LINK2007: approval of the Health Recommendations Protocol

After the adoption of the “Charter of Commitments: the road towards accountability”, launched last October 16th 2007, LINK2007 network continues its commitment towards accountability.

On June 25th, 2014, the Board of Link 2007 has adopted a document called “The protection of the health of NGO workers” which defines specific practical recommendations for NGOs members. The document, a result of a consultation between NGOs, legal experts and doctors, goes in the direction of strengthening the means of prevention and care opportunities for NGO workers, in the light of the central role that human resources play in the work of international cooperation.

Link 2007 intends accountability as clarity, transparency and rigor in the relationship with the institutions and the public on two inter-related aspects. One concerns the evaluation of the impact of their initiatives and a transparent information on the results achieved; the other aspect concerns the efficiency and fairness of the internal organizational and administrative systems.

This premise leads to the commitment to strengthen the systems of assessment and to make management structures more efficient and transparent.
