Improving production processes and social inclusion in Zambezia

The 4 districts of Lugela, Derre, Namarroi and Gilé in the Zambezia province, are among the most populated areas in Mozambique, with an economy almost exclusively focused on a rudimental and mismanaged agriculture, that leads to every year to poor productions and food insecurity.

Moreover, too often vulnerable but socially essential chategories like women and unemployed remain excluded by development efforts.

Answering to these two essential issues, with this intervention we aim at improving storage, processing and commercialization of agricultural products and to encourage surplus exports, by enhancing commercial and export competences of the communities.

We adopt an inclusive approach, with social and working inclusion, by emphasising women role and competences in the management of agricultural products and incomes.
