A critic eye on the Italy-Lybia agreement

Referring to the “Understanding memorandum on the cooperation for development, for the contrast to illegal immigration, human trafficking, smuggling and on the border security strengthening between the Libyan State and the Italian Republic”, signed on 2th February 2017, Link2007 shares the perplexities expressed, during these days, by many voices of the no-profit associations and the sector’s experts. The Italian government’s orientation, in fact, given the urgency to ensure the coordination and the transversal collaboration in the migration flows management, doesn’t adequately take in count the instances that derive from the Republic’s engagement to ensure the promotion, the respect and the protection of inviolable human rights, in accordance with our Constitution’s principles.
