O1. Launch an AGROMETEO program in Unilicungo, with internal expertise for the installation and maintenance of weather antennas and a monitoring and maintenance plan, connected with international academic institutions (La Sapienza), Mozambican national institutions (INGD, Provincial Government), and partnerships with International Agencies (FAO, WFP, World Bank);
O2. Carry out an effective pilot of the microinsurance system to operationalize the feasibility study;
O3. Make AGROMETEO data available to entities involved in agricultural planning, farmers, and all stakeholders who need to perform agricultural analysis using historical data;
O4. Enable the international dissemination of this work, both through participation in the FAO-funded Summer School on Agroecology organized at La Sapienza, and through the publication of papers by Unilicungo researchers.
R1) A meteorological data collection center was established at the Unilicungo University campus (Zambezia);
R2) A widespread data collection system was created in the districts of the Zambezia Landscape area;
R3) Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed between Unilicungo and provincial institutions for the use of meteorological data for planning and research purposes;
R4) An agreement was signed between Unilicungo and an insurance company to implement the operational part of the research;
R5) One research paper was produced by Unilicungo, under the supervision of La Sapienza;
R6) Three dissemination workshops were conducted;
R7) One project dissemination panel was held during the FAO Summer School in Rome.
