Aim: The project aimed to strengthen the capacities of Syrian professionals and local actors to contribute to the transition and recovery of Syria through skill development, mentorship, and localized initiatives. The focus was on knowledge transfer, civic engagement, and creating a network of professionals capable of leading sustainable local actions.
Results: Several Syrian professionals benefitted from their participation in contextualized capacity development and mentorship programs. Through the principle of community co-design, 23 locally driven projects identified and implemented across Syria and in Gaziantep, Turkey. In order to facilitate peer knowledge exchange, Platform was created for ‘networking and knowledge conversion’. Such initiatives had an added advantage of strengthening our relationship with the CSOs that partnered with us, with a multiplier effect of enhanced community resilience.
