POSITION: Project Coordinator
COUNTRY: Montenegro
DUTY STATION: Podgorica, with periodic visits to 20 targeted municipalities
NAME OF THE PROJECT: YouSEED – Youth Social Economy Exploring for Rural Development
STARTING DATE: March 2024
DURATION: 12 months, renewable (with a 3-month probation period)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate is expected to:
- manage the Project and be responsible for ensuring the delivery of project outputs in terms of quantity, and quality and within the timeframe and budget contracted.
- be responsible for providing managerial leadership to the project, managing, and supporting the day-to-day activities and resources of the project, with special emphasis on coordination and networking, management, and mobilization of resources.
- undertake his/her duties in close consultation with the project partners, public entities and other relevant stakeholders and will liaise regularly with the Contracting Authority for technical guidance.
- work in close collaboration with the operations team (project staff) and will be responsible for drafting ToRs for the consultancies and/or services as described in the Project Document, preparing narrative and financial reports, generating innovative ideas to assist with the development of the concept of the sub-granting scheme and facilitating the implementation of project activities.
- in strict collaboration with the COSV Country Representative, ensure an efficient and effective overall management (technical, organizational, administrative) of the COSV action in Montenegro.
- ensure proper coordination and information flow with COSV HQ and other COSV branches.
QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL:
- At least 3-5 years of project management experience or similar positions in NGO/ EU-funded projects and sound knowledge of procedures and funding programs;
- Good knowledge of the Project Cycle Management and the main development cooperation/project management tools;
- Substantial working experience in Montenegro, with a particular and solid understanding of its history, cultural, economic, institutional and political features;
- Proactive approach and capacity to work in a team, building fruitful relations with colleagues and partners;
- Strong leadership, communication, dialogue, coordination, and teamwork skills.
- Languages: Fluency in English and Montenegrin.
DESIRABLE:
- Knowledge and familiarity with other institutional and non-institutional donors (e.g. private bodies, foundations).
- Proven knowledge of the following topics: Social Inclusion, Social Economy, Rural Development.
- Knowledge of Italian could be an asset;
