NAME OF THE PROJECT: YouSEED – Youth Social Economy Exploring for Rural Development
STARTING DATE: March – April 2024
DURATION: 12 months, renewable (with a 3-month probation period)
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: 29/02/2024
The candidate is expected to support the Project Coordinator, HQ Admin Office in the correct management of the accountancy processes, particularly the sub-granting scheme to facilitate the internal and external accountability and any related reporting.
Key delivery and performance expected
Ensures the correctness of Accountancy procedures from the local administrative office.
Supports the project budgeting and reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- the use of the local accountancy Software
- monthly accountancy reporting toward HQ admin/finance unit (DB and documents)
- managing and monitoring grant disbursement, reporting and implementation
- support the HQ Admin Coordinator in preparation of the financial reports for Donors, checking the compliance of expenses with Donors and NGO procedures.
- support the HQ Admin Coordinator and Project Manager(s) for the project amendments, budget control and forecast.
QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL:
- Educated in a relevant discipline (Economics/Finance);
- Proven knowledge of financial accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills;
- Proven Knowledge of project accounting;
- Languages: Fluency in English (Italian is an asset);
- Ability to prioritize and deliver results on time;
DESIRABLE:
- Previous professional experience in NGOs
- Knowledge and familiarity with institutional Donors (e.g. EU, ministries) procedures and implementation standards
- Knowledge and familiarity with other institutional and/or non-institutional donors (e.g. private bodies, foundations).
